The purpose of this learning material is to teach learners how to apply for CSUSB's graduate program. As it is a self-paced course, the website is the primary teaching material. Learners will acquire all of the CSUSB application information through three parts: CSU Apply, support documents, and check application status. Also, for helping learners can be better integrate into university, the after being admission part will teach students how to purchase health insurance and register for the class. For motivating learners' studying interest, the website adopted mixed teaching like tutorial video, screenshot, the quiz. Next please click the above link to access the objectives of my course
In the analysis phase, I clarified my instructional goals: after the training, the learners will know about applying for a CSUSB graduate program and dealing with relevant academic issues. To identify my target audience's characteristics, needs, and current knowledge base. As my target audience is students who have graduated from college, I did not worry about their English skills. Next, to determine their existing knowledge, I conducted an online pre-test and identified what application knowledge they already mastered or what area of knowledge they need to consolidate. Finally, the One-on-one interview helps me figure out my audience's needs, such as orientation, health insurance, course resignation, etc. This information is critical because it will narrow down the specific content I would design for the online course.
According to the information gathered in the analysis phase, I developed performance objectives to elaborate on what tasks they need to master, which are key to successfully applying for CSUSB's graduate program. Also, I design relevant pre-instructional activities (tutorial video), assessment instruments (pre-test and post-test), Memory aids (printable pdf).

For technical aspects, considering the accessibility and convenience, I decide to choose the website (Wix) as my delivery platform to display all CSUSB's application content. Also, I applied instructional strategies and learning theories such as ACRS, Genge nine events, Cognitive load theory, and ABC’s RUS to perfect my online course. Finally, according to the storyboard of my online course, I developed my instructional materials.
ETEC 644 Reflection
In the ETEC 644 class. I learned some useful instructional design knowledge in this quarter. First, I learned two instructional design modules, such as the Dick and Carey Model and the Course design formula. I used these in my learning projects. The course design formula can help me create a structure for my lesson, and I know what content I need to add to this structure according to the formula. DIck and Carey model helps my lesson construct the lesson's necessary chains, including analysis, design, and developments. Last, I know how to use Wix to create a website and add a quiz and survey. I believe the knowledge and skills learned will be very useful in my future career.
