All F-1 and J-1 visa applicants must purchase health insurance as a condition of registration and continued enrollment at California State University, San Bernardino. Students will not be able to register for classes without purchasing a health insurance plan. All students and scholars are required to purchase insurance through Relation. The only exceptions are:

Students on government scholarships, which provide insurance coverage, must show proof to the international office in CGI 301 in order to be excluded.

Students on OPT/CPT with employment-based insurance may qualify for a waiver as long as they show proof to international office in CGI 301 that their coverage meets the minimum requirements.
*If you stay in the United States in the summer vacation, you need to buy insurance whether you register summer class or not. Otherwise, there will be a hold to prevent you from registering courses in the fall quarter.
If you will return to China during the summer, you must show relevant proof such as a copy of your ticket to the international office to eliminate the summer insurance hold.
Steps to enroll in coverage:
1. Select cal state San Bernardino, international students and click View Your Plan button
2. Select 2020-2021 Plan Year and click enroll button
3. Click Start Enrollments
4. Select yes ,I agree to the above and would like to continue
5. Select Fall- internation students and click continue button
6. Add the coverage you want to cart and click Check out button
7. Fill in your basic personal information
8. Fill in your contact information
9.Checking whether information is correct in summary order
10.fill in payment information and click purchase button
11.Finally , you will get a online enroll receipt
Please forward this online receipt to cisp@csusb.edu, the international office will help remove insurance hold
